45th Reunion-2007

45th Reunion Facts

  • 31 classmates attended at least one or more of the events.

  • Twenty-one rode on the float in the Fruita Fall Festival Parade on a flat bed trailer with straw bales, provided by Tommy Guccini. 

  • Twenty-eight attended the dinner and with spouses we had 43 on Saturday evening. 

  • On Sunday morning twenty classmates met at Golden Corral for breakfast, with others who came we had 34.

  • 25 Classmates were from Colorado -  18 from Fruita, Grand Junction & Loma area (Hazel, Tommy P. Tony, Josephine, Nancy, Joe R., Bill, Clifford, Joyce, Ken, Marilyn, Jimmy, Marcella, Berna Sue, Cookie, Steve, Tommy G., Wayne) 4 from other Western Slope cities (Ned, Glen, Judy, Lyle), 3 from Eastern Slope (Jerry, Wanda, Harry)

  • 2 from Nevada (Darla Kay & Leon)

     

  • 1 from Montana (Beth)

  • 2 from California (Esther and Pat)

  • 1 from Arizona (Lillian)

Interesting Side Note:  We were one of (4) Fruita Class Reunions September 29 & 30.  Class of 1942 - 65th Reunion, Class of 1967 - 40th Reunion and 1977 - 30th Reunion.  All these class reunions were in the parade on Saturday, September 29, too.
Thanks to all those who gave money to keep the website going.  The website provider (myevent.com) had a special and we were able to pay for 5 years with the money that you gave on Saturday evening.  Thanks again!
After paying for the dinner at Two Rivers and a few other expenses, we have almost $120 left to go toward planning for the 50th Reunion.  Cookie already had a good amount in savings that was given at the 40th, so there  will be enough to use for any expenses between now and then.
